We BOTH have Green Thumbs!

I never in a million thought I would marry one of my kind!

"GREEN THUMB"

Wow! I married a man with a Green Thumb!!
Every plant he touches thrives & grows FAST!
How does your garden grow??
Ok here is how it grows from the beginning (at the end of May) to presently July 26th.

it all started when we got a spot in the Community garden at the church ~
We feel like this is a thing called "Let's see if Don & Lauri can actually work together on something without arguing - you know after living in AZ type of thing."
Our GOD does work in mysterious ways.
So here it is:
Lets place the seeds of love in our garden and see how we do!
Ok we did it!

Garden from the start:

The beginning & Middle of June 2011

Ok I have to admit this garden tested
our patience many different times!
Don would just focus on just his tomato plants & not help me with the rest. I was upset because here I was on my hands and knees in my stiff legged braces down on the rocky and dirty soil, sweating my butt off and I was thinking to myself "Geez why don't you help me pull these dang weeds over here." But I kept my mouth shut instead of causing troubles. That is a good lesson for me. Ok I thought "Lord give me the strength to deal with a selfish man." It was granted and I did what I could on my own.

That is when one day I heard Don talking and I asked what he said and he told me nothing. Low and behold the man had a gift! My Granny would be proud (she herself had a green thumb too and she always told me Lauri you are just like I am you have a wonderful green thumb, you can grow anything with your love.) Granny was right! I have a lot of LOVE inside me I knew I made it this far with the man over there and I can keep on doing it too!

Don was actually talking to the plants!!
He has love inside that heart of his to talk to his tomato plants!

I couldn't believe it! I just smiled and went on weeding it and watering it every other day with my husband. Then we started going camping on the weekends, so we would come down to the garden and water before we left and after we got back. By that time the WEEDS
were getting thick! Then they got worse after they started Arigating the fields. So many a times we got down on our hands and knees slaving away at this garden right. I did the unmanageable things that I really am not suppose to be doing according to my doctor. But God gave me the strength to do this even though I was hurting, I still plugged away at it even so. That is when Don and I got into a tibit in the garden one day cause I was in so much pain. I bit my tongue to long and I had enough. I asked him "could you please at least weed half of the garden and I can get the other half instead of making me do it all. He grumbled some and almost gave up on the garden a couple of times and I reminded him "Honey I believe with all my heart that we are meant to do this garden TOGETHER for certain reasons and you know what they are because you said the same thing. So that is when it dawned on him - yeah your right Lauri. So he started helping me more and more. We have both left there many times exhausted and thought one more hand could really help us, but we were meant to only do this together as a couple. I don't think we could ever do it again though - this is a test for us and so far we are passing :-) Look at the photos below and you tell me if there isn't a LOT of LOVE in this garden!
We were told that our first crops were to go to the needy.
We had a few radishes so far but not enough to share with the needy. When our garden really starts going we picked a needy person to give them some vegetables out of our garden and so when it is that time they will receive in Abundance.
